What goes on behind the scenes of everyone’s favorite sketch comedy show?  We’ll find out!  President, co-founder and composer of Immediate Music: Yoav Goren is also here as we go “Behind the Score” of HOLLYWOOD TRAILER music!

About Yoav Goren: Co-Founder, Composer, Producer of Immediate Music LLC Born in Israel and raised in New York City, Goren was born into a family of artists that includes a sculptor, painter, and filmmaker. Encouraged early to study piano, he was heavily influenced first by classical composers, and then by the Beatles and film composers Ennio Morricone, Jerry Goldsmith, and John Barry.

He earned a BA in Film and Television Production from NYU. After gigging and touring with several bands in the USA as keyboard player, Goren settled in Los Angeles where he met and worked with the legendary Leonard Cohen on the acclaimed CD The Future (1992) as arranger and co-producer. Also in 1992, Goren teamed up with fellow composer Jeffrey Fayman and founded Immediate Music.

From the first trailer score for Universal Pictures “Carlito’s Way” in 1993 to recent high profile campaigns for films such as “Avatar”, “Toy Story 3” , “Twilight Saga: Eclipse”, and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ”, Goren along with Fayman are arguably the world’ s most-often utilized production team in the $3.3 billion motion picture advertising industry. Following Triumph, Nu Epiq is the fourth opus from the famous Trailerhead series, successfully launched in 2008 and “devoted to the power and emotion of epic orchestral music”.

With Nu Epiq, Immediate’s goal is to “evolve the sound of modern epic music, taking the genre in new musical directions and elevating the art form to new creative heights.” The result is innovative, and takes the form of a breathtaking musical journey, where the word “epic” is almost a euphemism. Nu Epiq is available to the public for purchase in digital format through iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp, and as physical CD through Amazon and the Imperativa Records website.
